Explore both natural lakes and man-made reservoirs throughout the United States. We have sites for 1,681 lakes.
Lake: inland body of fresh or salt water of considerable size that is surrounded by land.
Peaceful living on the bays of the United States give water access to Oceans and Gulf.
Bay: An area of water mostly surrounded or otherwise demarcated by land. Bays generally have calmer waters than the surrounding sea, due to the surrounding land blocking some waves and often reducing winds. It can also be an inlet in a lake or pond.
Navigate the inland waterways of the United States. Find marinas with fuel and restaurants located near the water. We currently have 34,022 river miles online.
River: A natural watercourse, usually freshwater, flowing toward an ocean, a lake, a sea or another river.
Find waterfalls by state and name.
Fall: A place where flowing water rapidly drops in elevation as it flows over a steep region or a cliff.

CURRENT DAILY STREAMFLOW CONDITIONS
75th - 89th percentile
25th - 74th percentile
10th - 24th percentile
The colored dots on this map depict streamflow conditions as a percentile, which is computed from the period of record for the current day of the year. Only stations with at least 30 years of record are used.
The gray circles indicate other stations that were not ranked in percentiles either because they have fewer than 30 years of record or because they report parameters other than streamflow. Some stations, for example, measure stage only.
